candlelight christmas

we went to this is the place monument park with my mom, siblings, & cousin last night. every christmas holiday the park hosts 'candlelight christmas'. we had never been until yesterday (which i have no idea why...it was so cool!). they have a few trains that you ride around the place and all sorts of things to do and see. i would DEFINITELY recommend going...you only have a few days left though, so hurry (it ends on the 23rd)! they had a live nativity in one of the building's...the trains went all around the park (which is a big place)..the view of salt lake city was really pretty!...they had fun lights along the way... daddy & his boys keeping warm underneath the blanket...here's christy & her little boy tavner. we're so glad you guys came!..after we rode the train down the hill a ways we got off at brigham young's historic farm house. everyone in all the homes etc were dressed in character (brigham young, his wife, & more). they served hot cider inside the farm house..it hit the spot perfectly! :) out back of brigham youngs farm house was a cool barn with father christmas in it...live reindeer too!it was really cute how they had it all set up..you walked up some stairs to see father christmas (he was a really cool old school santa claus) who was on top of some real life roof's. there was chimney's too that blew out smoke! santa even had a real reindeer pulling his sleigh!... doesn't kaden look excited? :)... all of us with santa!...outside of the barn they had a big fire where everyone was singing carols :)... kader gator & mommy :)...riding the train again :)... this pic below is of one of the many cool buildings on their 'main street'. you could go into most of them...they had different activites & shops in each one like painting, different kids crafts, dancing...and a lot more!in one of the little buildings they had a puppet show. the boys were in awe..look at kade's face in the pic below this one :)..i think we started a family tradition...everyone had a lot of fun!!! thanks for coming up with the idea to go mom!
