MALTA

malta was our last stop on our wonderful mediterrenean cruise. it's been sad to see our trip end but boy are we excited to see our boys & fam! malta is a small island in the mediterranean. it was perfect. so quaint, so much fun. the streets were all lined with little shops and hotels. we all loved it there and would love to go back someday... a famous gate leading into the city from the pier...another fun street we explored... these phone booths were all over the place. i kept wanting to take pictures of them... a cute little square with some small cafe's...i should have got the name of this building, but i didn't :)...another fountain :)...this is the inside of st. john's co-cathedral. it was really cool... malta has a rich history of knighthood. many of the artifacts etc in the cathedral were related to the knights...a lot of the knights were buried underneath the floor of the cathedral! the WHOLE floor was covered with their tombstones...i really liked this sculpture of christ...out behind the cathedral...this is a fort that was built up on the cliffs to fortify & protect the island...a mail drop box...a cute little coffee shop... i forgot what this was. pretty cool, though :)...and yes, another cool fountain...we went on a horse drawn carriage ride around the island. it was a lot of fun. we just fell in love with malta...inside the carriage... i don't know why i liked these garbage cans :). i just had to take a picture of them :)...this was a huge bell tower... looking out from the bell tower into the port that our ship sailed thru. our ship looked so big compared to the small port we came into...we sailed into spain early friday morning and like i said, said goodbye to our fun cruise :). we then flew from spain to paris (where we are right now) and have been touring france for the past day or so. it's been awesome! and aunt karen, you're right..our photographer's have been larry and darla :). i need to get their sd card and download their photo's so i can post some pictures of them on here too (we have had ben's parents on our trip with us. it's been GREAT! we love the fact that they love to travel as much as we do. hehe). i'm so grateful for my sweet husband who works so so so hard for our family. and for the oportunity we have had to travel because of his hard work. it has been a dream come true to see all of these places. i'm just so grateful. words can't describe. see you all soon! love, ~kara

What cruise line did you go on? Did you go on a Mediterranean Cruise? Mark and I want to go on a cruise really bad, I'll have to ask you some questions, cause I'm sure you guys know everything there is to know about cruising. Looks like so much fun! I love all your pictures.
