need i say more? haha.
mommy was making a cake, turned for a minute...and two quiet mice made a lovely powdered sugar mess {notice the two garbage cans they used as foot stools :)}! i couldn't resist taking some pics. it's moments like these that you have to just laugh {so you don't scream}...then roll up your sleeves and clean it all up :).
here's the cake i made for my friends little girls birthday party. i guess the mess did have a happy ending :)....

That is hilarious! Definitely a moment when you just have to laugh:) I LOVE that cake too! How much do you charge, cause Brielle's birthday is coming in March and I'd love it if you'd make her a cake:) It would be a fairy cake.
You are better than I! I had a heart attack just looking at the powdered sugar mess! I swear that stuff never completely leaves your kitchen once it's been poured!!

hahaha! i was actually just around the corner in the kitchen while they were doing it! i was focusing too intently on the flowers on my cake, and thought they were playing with trucks on the floor. should have looked up :)...hahaha.
and yes, the floor was mopped about 5 times :). sticky, sticky, sticky!

Emma says that cake is perfect! Just yesterday I was thinking about your parties and how the things you make are incredible and when I see pictures I never see a messy kitchen or anything messy for that matter. I thought maybe you did some magic to get it all clean. Your amazing.

What a darling cake and darling assistants you have. How did you make all of those flowers? And is the icing fondant? It looks so smooth and nice.

thanks guys :). yes, i covered the cake with fondant. i love the look of fondant! the pink & blue flowers are fondant...and the purple flowers are frosting {they were piped onto wax paper until dry}.

Too funny! But ABSOLUTELY beautiful ending. You are so talented!!! So I have to put together a Valentines party for our playgroup for our ward up here in Oregon. Any ideas on crafts or games, etc for the kids to do. You are SO CREATIVE! If not, no worries, just thought I would ask.
