paris

after our cruise ended we flew to paris for a few days before coming home (yes, we just got home! post coming soon.). paris was WONDERFUL!!
just being silly on the way...i thought the little drinks they gave us on our flight were too cute :)... right after we landed in france...one of the first places we went to was napolean's arch of triumph! you know, the one you see in all the movies..with a huge round-about surrounding it. it was so cool...looking down from the arch of triumph is the most famous street in paris, avenue des champs elysées! it's also the most expensive shopping area in the world!...even more than rodeo drive. it was really cool to drive up & down it :)...kinda blurry from our quick drive by...but i just had to get a pic of the louis vuitton shop :)...ben's brother stephen went on a mission to france...so we were able to meet up with one of his good friends named fabrice who showed us around paris all night! it was so much fun..he was such a nice man. we all went out to dinner. here we are with fabrice in front of the place we ate...i ordered french onion soup & cheese fondue. it was excellent... the creme brule was AWESOME too!...cute larry and darla... the fun streets... the first place we went to the following day was the louvre!.. from the inside of the glass pyramids in the middle of the louvre...victoire!...the next two pics are different places inside one of the wings of the louvre. you would have to spend a week there to see all of the museum. the whole place is just full of art, sculptures, paintings, etc, etc!...and..the most famous piece of art inside the louvre...the mona lisa!!!...more paintings and museum pics... la venus de milo!...the famous gate inside the courtyard...inside the courtyard...the eiffle tower was everything we imagined it would be and more! and props to larry for this pic..i love it!... we rode the elevators to the top. talk about your stomach going up into your throat! the view was amazing...a cool view of the eiffel tower...i had to snap a pic of my favorite makeup store :)...the tomb of napolean...i ordered french onion soup again :)...eating 'frech' fries in france :)...the eiffel tower at night! it was so beautiful!...larry & darla...smoochy, smooch :)...darla & i...more kissy, kissy :). you know what they say though, paris is the most romantic city on earth :)...
